The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. The 2019 championship was won by Hyundai with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Find out about the latest winners and champions at www.wrc.com

  • Toyota domination

  • Mantapp

  • 頑張れ!勝田!Cheer Katsuta!!

  • Quest'anno secondo me, sarà una lotta tra piloti Toyota, Ogier vs Evans,

  • What pathetic coverage. 1.50 mins for a full days rally is not good enough. Reporter's poor technique of dropping his voice at the end of sentences renders him inaudible. You need to do better than this if you want more subscribers!!!! JB

  • Tänak has gotten careless too early in the year and this shall cost the Hyundai team in the end.

  • 👍👍👍👍👍

  • Hi all 💗 this car its 4*4 our 4*2 ?? please

  • S O is the master

  • EXCELLENT AND EXPERIENCE WORK NASEEEEER QATAR DAKAAAAR RALLY .. QAAATAR AIIIIR WAYSSSS

  • EXCELLENT AND EXPERIENCE WORK NASEEEEER QATAR DAKAAAAR RALLY .. QAAATAR AIIIIR WAYSSSS

  • 勝田頑張って❗️👍

  • Uh, the hi-lites need to be shorter...much shorter. Thanks.

  • Thumb down for how short this is. Might have to go somewhere else for REAL highlights.

  • Crazy line up Toyota has..

  • Why does the co-driver sit so low? This seems to be a new thing?.

    • @LightningB they can still see a bit of road and all of the surroundings. They read the pace notes and feel the movement of the car. I’m sure you too can tell when a car is moving left or right and can gauge the speed of a vehicle by the undulations in the road. They’re professionals!

    • @Akello Morgan how do they read instructions if they don't know where they currently are?

    • Co-driver sits low to try and keep the centre of gravity low, especially since they dont need to see the road

  • I watch theses hightlights in 0.5x speed so they seem longer

  • Tanak, was DRUNK, all estonian are DRUNK

  • Would be great if you can show the top 8 drivers, as just the top 5 looks very empty, like WRC is on its last legs. Id rather see Ford in 26th place than not at all.

  • If you want around 30 minutes highlights, you could watch on browser, search Red Bull TV or Red Bull Live Events And for Phone or Tablet you could got Red Bull TV Offical App from Google Play or If you don't like to download the App search on Browser Red Bull TV or Red Bull Live Events Sorry for my english, If you got problem tell here and When I read I could help you Sorry again for my bad English, enjoy WRC Action😉 BTW: I am not a Bot

  • Great updates. Longer reviews of the day would be even cooler!

  • First rally of the year/Season, and already TOYOTA is Dominating!!!!!! Let's Go Places!!!!!

  • Appalling coverage 😔

  • Many comments about short highlights because they want us to pay for wrc plus!

    • @Tom Phipps Yeah, my mistake, comment edited. But still, the highlights too short and dont want to pay for it anyway.

    • I'm pretty sure it's 90€ for a season pass until the end of the year, or 9€ a month?

  • Did Ford drop out of WRC? You’d think so given how little they feature in these highlights.

    • @Ren These are just higlights anyway no need to prioritize people having a clean or slower run over spins, crashes and problems

    • M-sport have money problems, it's amazing they still in the sport

    • @Ren well they might aswell stream the whole stage for free then lol

    • @Buddy14 I know Suninen went off, but these highlights should cover the whole field rather than just half of it.

    • Suninen went off on stage one, Greensmith is just a rookie. These highlights are just to catch up with the top few

  • Love these little updates... Would welcome longer ones too.

    • @Chris E play store

    • @Chris E In Google Play, He's name is Red Bull TV

    • @DanTheBoss where is it on the app? I've looked several times but can't see anything?

    • If you want around 30 minutes highlights, you could watch on browser, search Red Bull TV or Red Bull Live Events And for Phone or Tablet you could got Red Bull TV Offical App from Google Play or If you don't like to download the App search on Browser Red Bull TV or Red Bull Live Events Sorry for my english, If you got problem tell here and When I read I could help you Sorry again for my bad English, enjoy WRC Action😉 BTW: I am not a Bot

  • I would say that Toyota NEED to drop Katsuta to move on because he is just not getting results

    • @Milán Bogár Oh, I didn't know that. So Katsuta is basically a guy who Toyota pushed into the team to drive in a WRC1 car with a factory support. Well, he still serves a purpose there. He's gaining experience (don't forget Ogier wants to retire, Katsuta is one of Toyota's options for the third car next year), and he's also there to help with putting pressure on Hyundai and stealing their points. With Tanak out of Monte Carlo, Hyundai only has two cars now. If one of them gets into trouble, he may get ahead and that would mean less points for Hyundai. I think that's one of the reasons they're running 4 cars.

    • @Ondra Spendlik Yes, exactly. Quote from the rulebook: "For any one Manufacturer, a maximum of three (3) nominated drivers may be eligible to score points of which only the 2 best placed (see Art. 5.2.6) will score points according to their relative position."

    • @Milán Bogár Why is he not eligible for points? Is there a rule that only 3 chosen cars can try to fight for the manufacturer's points?

    • @Ondra Spendlik Katsuta is not eligible for manufacturer points even if the other 3 Toyotas would retire. As you said he is Toyota's Japanese driver so there is zero chance that he would be dropped.

    • Well, he's in the fourth car. Only the two best are scoring manufacturer's points. He's there to pick up at least something in case two Toyotas hit trouble. Last season, they narrowly lost to Hyundai, so every point can make a difference. Katsuta is great for that role, he knows he doesn't have the pace for top 3 and he probably doesn't cost Toyota as much as the other 3 drivers. Also, it may be Toyota trying to push Japanese drivers into the team (just like Honda in F1).

  • Where's the people?

  • Where is ford ?

  • I like the paint pattern on the Yaris WRC 2021. I think the asymmetry looks great, although the DENSO letters are a bit big.

  • ToyOgier 💪💪

  • ''Elfyn Evans looking calm and in control'' Elfyn: :o

  • Stop at there Little schit Cars...I whont the new group B !!!!!!

    • @Ondra Spendlik You do realize there are classes which are basically group n successors?

    • @Eni i didnt say Skoda was not part of the vw group.

    • @Buddy14 Skoda is basically VW yes. But Mercedes is also Premium brand competing in Motor Sports. And Audi wouldnt fit into F1 I think :). Alpine had one show car at the Monte I think ? But due to pandemic I doubt that many brands will invest millions in developing a WRC car the next years. Maybe with the new Hybrid technology in WRC 2022 it will become more interesting for some manufacturers to polish their "green" image. Group B ? WRC is like a modern Group B. Super expensive cars which are incredible fast and have almost nothing to do with the road versions beside lights and doors lol ? It would be less attractive to manufacturers too if they couldnt promote their road versions because they need some unrecognizable high-spec rally machines. Like almost all sports its now more about money than passion...

    • @Buddy14 I think he just wants a new Group B. More variety in the cars, less rules to allow for more power, etc. I mean, it would be possible with all the safety improvements, but do we really need rally cars to get faster than they are now? They're fast enough already, much faster than the original Group B. We don't want cars that are too fast for the drivers. Besides, manufacturers are not interested now, imagine if the cars got even faster and more expensive to build, we'd be happy if there were 2 teams. New Group B is just not the direction that brands want to take. I'm personally hoping for the return of Peugeot, they're getting more involved with sports cars, and being part of Stellantis now, they likely can afford investments. We'll see if they'll just settle for endurance racing or if they come back to rallying. I'd personally love a new category for almost stock cars. The cars would have all the safety features of a WRC car, but not much other modification (just a massive weight reduction in form of removing non essential parts). There would be maximum power limit (AWD cars would have less power than 2WD cars). That could motivate manufacturers to build road cars with rallying in mind and try to go rallying for less money than in the WRC. It would also effectively promote their cars, just like rallying always did. Make any regular person in their road car feel like they're driving the rally car. You don't get to feel that in your normal Yaris or i20, not even the Yaris GR or the i20 N.

    • Also how exactly do people expect group b to be a thing again? Have people race 30-40 year old cars on the top level of the sport? Thats what historic rallies are for.

  • Someone here told me, you have to pay for 1080p quality (WRC-Plus Subscription). But what do we have here? A 1080p quality official FIA World Rally Championship PLthrow Channel, Highlights package ????????????

    • Download the Red Bull tv app, they do coverage for everyday of the rally.

    • Oh yes, a whole 1.50 seconds ..... People seriously make me wonder at times.

  • Nice short and to the point highlights (Y)

  • GO OGIER

  • The narrator is too quiet and tends to mumble the end of sentences. Tough to understand for a non native speaker, and the music isn't helping.

    • Came to comments to say the same thing.

    • Yea, the audio is oscillating around -12db, which is very quiet. It needs to be mastered. I am available, FIA feel free to hire me!

    • You need to pay for WRC+ if you want to understand what the narrator is saying.

  • nice fight, butw i wish it were more competitive!

  • highlights are too short

    • they need to make it longer

    • @Tikaal No problem, enjoy :)

    • @DanTheBoss wow dude thank you i was tyring to get into WRC but these highlights don't show anything
