  • Mm

  • Very ironic that Deere can get 600hp into 9R & 9RX while the 9RT is mia in this unlike Challenger & Fendt

    • @bigtractorpower MF165...lol

    • Since these are the largest John Deere tractors built to date what are you running in the field?

  • I farm for them

    • You do? That’s neat. thought I knew everyone at the farm. What job do you have there?

  • Interessanti sto giocattolini..!!!

  • When you talked about the specs of each tractor it may have gone over my two years old nephew’s head but he loved the tractors.

  • Hallo

  • Thanking you for this extraordinary article about ploughing the fields.

  • I feel like 1/2 of your 1M views have happened in our house. My soon to be 2 year old is obsessed with this video. He really appreciates the introductory drive down the street. Thanks for making content that captures his attention for more than a minute. Sincerely, the mom of a future farmer.

  • Please make video on the Farmall letter series tractors..

  • Hii Hello

  • Diesels still seriously have their place. Try doing this with battery power.

    • We may see diesel electric like locomotives some day but a battery is not going to get this work done.

  • Aqui no Brasil não precisa de nada disto para preparar a terra para o plantio aqui tem a técnica do plantio direto economiza-se tempo e dinheiro

  • I have a Massey Ferguson TEA20 with an original MF 2 furrow plough I turn a few acres with each year, but my big tractor is an MF165... 👍😁

    • 2 CY , they would be probably of 30 HP

    • Thank you for watching. The Two Cylinder tractors are great machines. It’s always neat to see how tractors have developed over the past century.

  • Actually, the 9620RX and the 9620R uses Cummins QSX15 Engines Producing 670hp

    • Yes correct I’m running a x -15 full iner axle wheel lock deployment about 755 tractive drive to dah ground. SERIOUS POWER

  • How ironic that AGCO thru Challenger & Fendt can get a 600 plus hp 2 track tractor to market while Deere cannot

    • I have often wondered why there has not been a 9620RT. Maybe on the new 9 R models.

  • This is muscle 🙉🇱🇹

  • Super

  • considering Kentucky is the cradle of no-till - why do all this tillage?

    • @bigtractorpower Thank you for your response. Farmers rock. We are finding that our soils become more resistant to compaction in long-term no-till so we have large farms here in Pennsylvania who have not tilled their soil for 40 years without a problem. The increased potential for erosion and the reduction of soil health with tillage cause us to look for solutions that avoid tillage. You seem try to address the compaction with tracks and triples but apparently it is still not enough. It would be great if the disease issue could be resolved. One way would be to grow wheat after soybeans - have you considered that?

    • This farm has a field right next to the first no till field ever. There are a few reasons for disking. 1. Wheat is susceptible to diesel carry over from corn. Disking helps bury the stalks and disease pressure. 2. These fields get rutted up from spreaders and compacted by grain carts. The disks break up the soil and smooth it out.

  • love the white/amber strobe lights on the service truck

  • Amazing lineup. Curious how far some of their fields take them. And with tracks if they run a tram line system

    • @bigtractorpower we

    • The furthest field is 55 miles. This farm does not run tram lines as they run implements from 26ft to 60ft. I do film at a farm all on tracks that runs everything on 40ft passes.

  • try a no till for two yrs and see how much money is saved ,same yield .

  • Heard a bad bearing on that one disc

  • ✌️✌️✌️

  • They should use notched discs kellough disc in red deer Alberta are awesome heavy trash discs and for breaking

  • Enjoyed that! You must be on John Deere's payroll!

  • Those would be great for zombies

  • Why triples? Does that JD slip that bad?

  • No

  • I use a International 5088 with a 64 blade 18’7 disc harrow for secondary tillage and a 9 shank case ih 6500 conservation till plow for primary tillage

  • Billy finally got another 9RX

  • You could do an entire state in a day with those 6 moving at once.

    • They actually do good to do the whole county in a week

  • Curious why all the Deeres then the Ago? Price or function? My poor little TC40 DA pulls a small 20 disc. You should do a small tractor videya!

  • what was the unit behind the challenger? figured it would be smaller than the higher hp units but it was only one that had powerline clearance issues.

  • John Deere 9620R whith a landoll high speed plow 35'

  • Great video. Camera and narration top notch. I’d pay to operate a tractor with an expert operator at my side in case I get into trouble.

  • Beautiful!

  • the soil looks good with all that organic matter. Are there plenty of worms in the soil?

  • Seems an excessive use of tractors for fairly small fields? I thought they were being driven to one of those endless fields of the cornbelt!

    • I though the same thing, next you see them pulling a hay rake or a square baler! I suppose they have a lot of money, and are in a bug hurry.

  • You always here farmers talk about soil compaction and how a disk is just really bad at compaction the soil. Does this farm run the disk in the fall and a ripper in the spring to deal with the compaction issue ?

    • Everything depends on soil type and moisture. What is bad near you may work well there.

  • I have no idea why you would want to run 6 tractors in a field. Looks like showing off to me. If you’re putting 6 tractors in one field you’re roading them 6 times as much; that’s wasted man hours and more tire and track wear. Stick each tractor in a different field and keep the service truck hopping. They probably all have telematics anyway. You could also put your track machines in the softest fields and your wheeled ones on the hard ones.

    • @bigtractorpower The concept still applies. I would be fine if a few tractors took a few days to knock out a huge field. You got different disk sizes and wheel and track machines. Different tools in your toolbox but they're all getting used in the same way. If field conditions don't matter much I'd put the wheeled machines on the farthest or smallest fields to let them chew up the roading. Unless it's going to rain for a week, I'm not concerned if anyone finishes up at the same time. You're not planting 11,000 ac of wheat in one day, anyway. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference, but when I ran crews I was more likely to divide and conquer than to put everybody on one job at a time.

    • What if your running in a 1,000 acre field? This farm runs 9 disks and disked 11,000 acres in 8 days. Five 600 plus Hp tractors on this tillage team with 34 ft disks and four 420 hp tractors with 26 ft disks on the other team. Each tractor takes a section and works the ground. This way they all finish at the same time. By working on crews then only one move is needed rather than a flagging crew chasing tractors every where. This farms largest field is 2,800 acres.

  • Will they disc the corn land while they are discing for winter wheat or what till spring and disc the corn land

  • Work on the farm for a month just so I could do that all day

  • Makes me chuckle because in MD it is illegal to cross the center of the road (regardless of how wide the equipment is or how narrow the road) and it's illegal to have a flagger stop traffic; so if an accident happens with farm equipment vs. car, the farmer is always at fault unless they have a police escort. So stupid.

  • I love that service truck

  • Great video. Always enjoy Garrett Farms in the field. Look forward to more videos.

  • I'd like to see another Garnett Farms tour myself.

  • The new "must have" accessory on any tractor - hydraulic folding steps. Presumably there is a proximity sensor to unfold them when you approach?!

  • Is challenger more powerful than 9rx?

    • Challenger is so small and yet so powerful. Which one is more reliable? Agco or deere?

    • The Challenger is 600 hp and the 9RX is 620. The Challenger has a 1,100 cubic in engine the Deere a 950 cubic inch engine. They are pretty much equal.

  • Great video where are the 9420r tractors

  • Thank you mr big tractor for an other tractor documentary Do you get any help from your goverment or you pay it all the amount by yourself here in greece we get 40% financial for old farmers and 60% for new farmers plus an other 20% for poor farming areas to help us buy new equipment greenhouses and storage buildings

  • we run 2 8370 rt’s with two degelman 26’ protills

  • When I was a boy, I thought it was a big deal pulling a 10 foot disk with a John Deere 4010...

    • Ours was a Shearer plough and a JD 3020. In an 8 hour shift, you did 8 rounds at the outer.

  • i got a case 1255 xl and i am plowing with a 4 row plower

    • Very nice. Solid tractor. I wish they had offered those in the US.

  • Red it s the real quatro

  • Interested to know, do farms have their own equipment or do they contract the work out. This fleet of machines and implements must be worth millions. Would one farm have this sort of investment given that this is not all thats needed for broad acre farming operations.

    • I would say most have there own.

  • Great video, the width of the tractors going down the road provides a graphic idea of just how big these units are, well done

  • Those wishek discs are workin those tractors.

  • Like it

  • Must be sick to live in some of those houses can watch tractors like this from your bedroom
